Imperial cities tour of through desert Merzouga

Day 01: Casablanca – Rabat:
 we will meet in Casablanca, andthen to Rabat. In Casablanca, you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosqueoutside Mecca. Continuing to Rabat – the capital of Morocco – you will see the HassanTower and walk the OudayaKasbahbefore you check in to your overnightaccommodation in a riad at the heart of the Medina.
 
Day 02:  Rabat – Meknes – Fes:
After breakfast in  riad,will start travelling to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes. In Meknes, you will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour, built by the sultan My Ismail to be the most beautiful gate in Morocco, you will also see the Sahrij Souani used for irrigation and plantation. After lunch , you will head to Volubilis, the well preserved Roman Empire dating to 225BC, where some mosaics as still in very good shape. Our journey continues to Fes via remote village of Zgouta on the foothills of the Rif Mountains.
 Day 03 :Fes – Azrou Midelt.
After breakfast you will begin your guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the Kings Palace, the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will experience. After lunch  will begin your ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert.
Day  04 :Midlte-Erfoud-Merzouga Camel trek:
After an early breakfast you famous for its fossils and rocks. we continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz. Passing Kasbahs and palm groves we pass through the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia and arrive in the late afternoon to Merzouga, city on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert. Then later in the afternoon saddle your camels your journey to take us across the desert during a beautiful sunset for about 2 hours to reach you camp for the night by the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Overnight in the Nomad tent, night full of stars, Berber music and delicious food prepared for you by your guide.
Day 05: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch what well may be thebest sunrise of your life. After breakfast at the camp you will trek back to the village ofMerzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacularErg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast inyour riad, you’ll leave for Rissani , Tinghir, and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowestgorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the DadesValley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formationsknown as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlookingthe Dades valley.
Day 06: Dades Valley – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi n’Ttichka Pass – Marrakech
After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgounaand Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs –providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of thetrip. We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose city”, to purchase rosewater, which willmake your linen smell good a long time after your trip is over. Continue to Marrakechvia the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berberchieftains during the 18th century, now the Kasbah is a house of many Glaoui people.Your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) over the HighAtlas Mountains, before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech.
Day 07: Exploring Marrakech
After breakfast in the riad, you will enjoy a morning guided tour of Marrakech “the RedCity of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see all the sites with historical andcultural interest, including the Koutoubia Menaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautifulPalace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally, end the morning by walkingthrough the medina alleys -getting a chance to admire all of the different artisansperforming their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. Lunch at arestaurant near the square, and then in the afternoon visit the gardens at Majorelle, andhave a short tour at Gueliz -the new city of Marrakech. After dinner you will have theoption to walk through the square entertained by magicians, story-tellers, tooth-pullersand food sellers.
 
Day 08: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport
After an early breakfast in your riad, we will drive you to Casablanca for your flight back home.
